Montecassino Abbey                                         
Build in the by S. Benedetto from Norcia,  on the same mount
of the Acropolis of Cassino, it was destroyed by Saracenics in the 883,
later it became an important study and cultural centre until in the ’43-’44, thinking that the Abbey was a German basis the Americans bombed it.
The reconstruction was immediate and the monastery was build according
the ancient architectonic structure.
It is possible to visit the Historic Museum and to take part to
the Sunday Mess
 
Fossanova Abbey
It is an ancient gothic architecture monument. The Abbey was build by Benedectines in the IX century, later in the 1133 the Cistercians
reclaimed the surrounding zone digging a ditch.
The church has a simple front but ornate by a wonderful rose-window
and a large portal. Its plant is a typical Latin cross with three aisles of Cistercian style. From the Sacristy it’s possible arrive to the suggestive rectangular cloister.
 
 
“Campo Soriano” Natural Monument
Situated among the Ausoni mountains, between the cities of Sonnino
and Terracina, extending for 3 Km. It’s a protect area, declared “natural monument”. The sight that a visitor can see it’s really fantastic:
there are large grasslands in alternation with dolina hills and a lot of
rocky “iceberg”, more than 15 metres high. All around this landscape it’s possible to see the human work that confirm us how, even if it’s difficult,
the man is able to transform a hostile area, in a cultivated land and
orchards.
 
Ninfa Garden
It’s a oasis between the cities of Cisterna and Sermoneta, in the plain
of the city of Norma. It was declared “Natural Monument” in the garden
there are a lot of kind of plants coming from many countries, that here
have founded a natural habitat, in which they can grow up and developing among the ruins of the medieval city. The visit, guided only, are possible during the first Saturday and Sunday of the month from April to October.   
                                                                     
                                                                     
Aurunci Mounts Park
The Park is situated among ten towns of the provinces of Latina and Frosinone, and it is the most southern Park of Latium region. The typical
Karst landscape opens on the Gaeta’s Gulf, which is a rich land of historical events, traditions, culture, ancient jobs…. Now it’s really interesting for botanists that have founded more than 50 kind of orchids and the Ophrys Aurunca a new orchid that here has its unique habitat and more than 1900 different plants.
